Holiday Care Package
A very special local event has occurred every Christmas, for the past 26 years. On Christmas day, the SLO Community Holiday Feast warmly welcomes our County’s unhoused population and also anyone in need. The event provides a delicious home-cooked holiday dinner along with live musical entertainment. This occasion is used as a means of gifting those who are unsheltered with much needed winter clothing care packages to help them survive our cold wet winters. These care packages contain brand new: sleeping bags, hooded sweatshirts, winter jackets, socks, scarves, gloves, underwear and toiletries.
Last year, 700 meals and care packages were distributed at both the Odd Fellow’s Hall in downtown SLO and delivered throughout San Luis Obispo County.
